Welcome to Atelier Verona, a unique space where history, craftsmanship, and personal identity seamlessly intertwine. I’m Amber, a passionate costume maker based in the South Wales Valleys, dedicated to specialising in historical construction and gender-neutral couture. As I pursue my BA (Hons) in costume making, I have meticulously refined my skills in pattern drafting, cutting, costume making and soft tailoring, all fuelled by a deep appreciation for historical artistry.

My neurodivergent perspective enriches my approach to costume construction, allowing me to revel in the precision, historical research, and intricate details that breathe life into each garment. My dissertation focused on LGBTQ+ safe spaces and identity expression throughout history, has solidified my mission to create costumes that empower individuals and celebrate authenticity.

Atelier Verona is more than just a studio; it is a sanctuary for exceptional craftsmanship, where tradition inspires innovation. Rooted in historical costuming and driven by an inclusive vision, I am committed to crafting bespoke garments that break boundaries and honour individuality. Every piece I create is designed not just to pay tribute to the past, but to shape the future of clothing and costume making, inviting everyone to embrace their unique story with confidence and style
